Ikasten is a new educational resource for learning Basque, which forms part of the initiatives already available at hiru.com - the portal run by the Permanent Learning Board of the Basque Government Department of Education, Universities and Investigation.
The course presents an enjoyable and informal working environment, and is aimed at both those who want to use it as a complement to other courses and those who want to use it as the foundation of their language learning.
Ikasten contains sixty units, organised into sections, containing a wide variety of activities, from beginners' level to advanced. Additionally there are twelve revision units that allow you to review and consolidate your acquired knowledge. Included in the content you'll find audio, video, gap-fill exercises, multiple-choice activities, and linking and reordering exercises.
In the introductory activity to the course you'll find guidance about how you should use the program. We recommend that you spend a little bit of time with this activity so that the learning process will be easy and effective.
After that, you can determine your level and start with the unit that is best for you. That way you'll be able to get the most out of Ikasten.
Throughout the program you'll find links to complementary audio and video resources that will allow you to practice whenever it is convenient for you.
