Patxi Usobiaga becomes World Climbing Champion

The climber from the Basque town of Eibar got climbing world champion title in China for the first time after beating Czech Adam Ondra in one of the most exciting finals ever. Bronze goes to Australian David Lama.

It was the first World Championships title after being three times second. After winning the silver medal in the last three world championships, the great Basque climber Patxi Usobiaga won in Xining (China) his first Climbing World Championships title.

In a thrilling final against the Czech Adam Ondra (16), Usobiaga won his rival in the last minute.
