Alleged ETA member 'Txeroki' arrives in Spain

The aircraft of the Spanish National Police in which Garikoitz Aspiazu left France landed at Getafe's airport, Madrid, after 4.00 pm.

Garikoitz Azpiazu Rubina, or Txeroki, on Monday arrived in Madrid, temporarily extradited to Spain by French authorities, in order to be interrogated on Tuesday 22nd September on five of the 21 counts he currently has due to 5 blasts which took place in 2002.

The aircraft of the Spanish National Police in which the suspected ETA chief left France landed at Getafe''s airport, Madrid, after 4.00 pm. It is the first time that French authorities send an alleged member of the Basque armed group to Spain without having been previously condemned in France, where the investigation on Txeroki is still ongoing.
