The Correctional Court of Paris has condemned ETA''s historical leader Josu Urrutikoetxea, better known as Josu Ternera, to five years in prison for organised crime network. His son, Egoitz Urrutikoetxea, has been charged with four years of imprisonment for the same crime.

Both have been sentenced after being tried in contempt of court given that they have been missing for several years.

In the case of Josu Ternera, the ruling includes a definitive expulsion from French territory once he has served his sentence and the continuity of the European arrest warrant issued against him and against his son Egoitz who, on the contrary, will not be expelled from France given that he has official French nationality.
