Judge Velasco orders 12 ETA, FARC alleged members arrest

Those detained live in Venezuela and Cuba, so they must wait for the response of the authorities in their respective countries. They are accused of several attempted murders.

Spanish High Court judge Eloy Velasco has ordered the arrest of 12 alleged members of Basque armed group ETA and Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia FARC. They are accused of several attempted murders. Furthermore, they would have shared information on Colombian president Álvaro Uribe and his predecessor Andrés Pastrana.

Those accused of belonging to ETA are Arturo Cubillas Fontán, José Ignacio Etxarte Urbieta, Ignacio Domínguez Atxalandabaso, José María Zaldúa Korta, José Angel Urtiaga Martínez and José Miguel Arrugaeta San Emeterio, who are living in Venezuela and Cuba. From now onwards, they must wait to the Venezuelan and Cuban authorities response to the international arrest orders.

In case the accused are arrested, judge Velasco would ask the Spanish government to start with their extraditions.
