On Monday night, Bilbao rocked to the sounds of AC/DC. The Australian band performed the last gig of their Black Ice tour in front of 40,000 fans at San Mames. There are rumours it was the group''s last ever live outing.

At 10.20pm, Angus Young and his group took to the stage. The group performed a collection of their best loved hits, as well as tracks from their latest album. Music, pyrotechnics and giant screen all added to the mix that lit up the Biscay capital.

Given that this was the most anticipated concert on the Basque calendar this year and tickets sold out in 24 hours, it is no surprise that many fans spent the whole of Monday in the vicinity of the stadium. The venue doors opened at 6pm and at 8.45pm, support act from Valencia Los Perros del Boggie came on stage.

AC/DC travel with an entourage of 150 people. 47 lorries and 12 buses were parked in the San Mames car park. The set was built on a space 56 metres wide and 32 metres deep.
