Jason Titus, Shazam's Chief Technology Officer, to close Nonick 2011

The CTO from Shazam, the world's largest commercial mobile phone-based music identification service and the latest mobile application to cause an global storm, will close this year's conference.

Jason Titus, Chief Technology Officer at Shazam, will be the keynote speaker in charge of bringing this year''s Nonick conference to a close. The international conference on internet trends will be held this June 17th-18th in the headquarters of EiTB.

Jason Titus is the current man in charge of infrastructure and operations at Shazam technologies, the firm behind the world''s largest commercial mobile phone-based music identification service. Shazam allows the user to search for the title of any song they hear, such as on the radio or in a club, by capturing a 10-second caption (an ''acoustic fingerprint'') of that song and cross-checking it at a central database.
Shazam is one of the newest sensations within the world of Mobile applications. It has a running total of 120 millions downloads and continues to grow at a rate of one million new users every week. Currently, the service has as many as 10 million songs in its database.

Jason Titus has extensive engineering, product management and design experience with Startup companies. Before joining Shazam, he was Vice-president of Communications (E-mail and Messneger) at Yahoo!, where he filled a number of strategic posts including design, management, marketing and technology for the entire portfolio communication products for Yahoo, which has more than 300 million users.

Nonick is jointly organised by eitb.com and the Department of Industry, Innovation, Commerce and Tourism, via its public company SPRI, and in association with CBT. It aims to bring together more than 400 experts and mobile technology from around the world.
