Basque armed group ETA claimed responsibility for three attacks carried out in the last months including the murder of the Basque businessman and an attack against a Basque media group.

In a statement sent to the Basque newspapers Gara and Berria, ETA claim responsibility for the murder of the Basque businessman Inazio Uria in Azpeitia, the attack on the offices of EITB and other media groups in Bilbao and an attack on a television re-transmitter.

The armed group threaten the "engineers, technicians and businessmen" working on the high-speed train project and say the Basque businessman was killed because of his involvement in the works of the high-speed train railway line and for "refusing to pay the so-called revolutionary tax".

The Basque armed group also accuse the Basque media group EITB of "following the orders" of the Basque nationalist party PNV and four other media groups, "Antena 3, Expansión, El Mundo and Onda Cero", of "being in favor of the Spanish fascism".
