Hemingway doubles wanted at Pamplona's Sanfermines

Much of the worldwide fame of the Sanfermines is due to the references made by Ernest Hemingway in his articles as a reporter and in his novel "Fiesta, the sun also rises." These days, Pamplona-Iruña organises a contest that seeks to find the person who most closely resembles the American writer.

Writer Ernest Hemingway spread the legend of San Fermín fiesta, the most internationally renowned festival in Spain. Recently, Charlie Boice, one of the contestants that is taking part in the competition that looks for doubles of the American, was asked for a photo in the middle of the street. A Hemingway son wanted to take a picture of him, astonished by the resemblance to his father.

There are already 10 finalists in a contest that seeks to find the person who most closely resembles the American writer. Two of them are from&' || 'nbsp;Navarre (José Luis Nobel Goñi and Martín Larraza Marín), and there is another contender from Legazpi, Gipuzkoa, Juan Luis Iñurritegui. The rest come from different parts of the world.

The winner will be announced on Saturday at 9.00 pm at the Plaza del Castillo in Pamplona-Iruña. The grandson of the Pulitzer Prize John Patrick Hemingway is part of the jury.
