Jazz plays the main role in the capital of Gipuzkoa from July 22nd to 26th.

The Hank Jones Trio, The Bad Plus, Abdullah Ibrahim and Ekaya, Randy Weston''s African Rhythm Quintet with The Master Gnawa musicians of Morocco Weston, drummer Roy Haynes or pianist Jamie Cullum are just a few of the most outstanding musicians to gather at the 44th Donostia-San Sebastian Jazz Festival.

The capital of Gipuzkoa will also host the Perico Sambeat Big Band, Animall Collective, Brad Mehldau, Dave Douglas and Joe Lovano''s concerts. The city will not be missing bands such as The War On Drugs, The Honeybears, Facto Delafé, Acido C, Vetusta Morla or Russian Red either. The entrace to see this six bands live is free of admission.

Your attention, bands: Open Mic Session

Any musician or band still have the opportunity to play in the 44th Heineken Jazzaldia. Its open mic night will be on the 25th of July between 11.00 pm and 03.30 am. Those interested can register on the festival''s website.

Heineken Jazzaldia has got the stage, the audience and the instruments, those interested only have to put the music. There is no selection, it is just necessary to register, get on stage on time and play for half an hour.
