About 30 people participated in the sessions, most of them engineers and official representatives of the project such as the TDIC, or Tourist Development Investment Company of Abu Dhabi, architects from Gehry''s studio, senior staff of the Guggenheim Bilbao and Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation delegates.

The meetings were aimed to analyse the future art''s centre desing, management of artistic services, maintenance, and installations or security systems, for which Bilbao Guggenheim Museum is a reference.

Arup engineering will be in charge of the project, whose main building will be designed, one more time, by Frank Gehry. The Arup firm was also assigned the transformation of the so-called Alhóndiga Bilbao, a former warehouse which will be turned into a cultural and leisure centre of 68,000m².
