US actor Brad Pitt will be in Donosita-San Sebastián next September 18th presenting on the first day of the Festival, at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, Inglorious Basterds, opening movie of the Zabaltegi-Pearls section.

Tarantino''s movie, winner of the Best Actor Award for Christoph Waltz at Cannes, will be screened on the first day of the 57th edition on Friday, 18 September.

An extensive representation of the most famous moviemakers worldwide will pass through San Sebastian in these nine days. In addition to Atom Egoyan, Quentin Tarantino, Rodrigo García, Laurent Cantet, John Madden, Samira Makhmalbaf and Bong Joon-ho, directors like Ang Lee, Jim Jarmusch, Terry Gilliam, Michael Winterbottom, François Ozon, Tom DiCillo, Jacques Audiard, Johnnie To, Bahman Gobhadi, Lee Daniels, Olivier Hirschbiegel, Christophe Honoré, Juan José Campanella, Matthias Glasner, Fernando Trueba, Isaki Lacuesta, Javier Rebollo, Nicolas Klotz and Jalil Lespert will also attend the event.

Other actors to visit San Sebastian will include Robert Duvall, Chiara Mastroianni, Miranda Otto, Brenda Blethyn, Ricardo Darín, Carmen Machi, Lola Dueñas and Ariadna Gil.

Cantet

French director Laurent Cantet will chair the Official Jury at the coming San Sebastian Festival. He will be accompanied by the Mexican actor Daniel Giménez Cacho, the Korean director Bong Joon-ho, the Spanish actress Pilar López de Ayala, the British director John Madden, the Iranian director Samira Makhmalbaf and the Portuguese actress Leonor Silveira. The Official Jury make-up was announced today at the press conference presenting the 57th edition, to start on Friday 18.

The Canadian director Atom Egoyan and the producer Ivan Reitman will present their film Chloe at the Festival opening gala, to take place at the Kursaal.

At the closing gala in the Kursaal, on Saturday 26, the director Rodrigo García together with actresses Naomi Watts and Kerry Washington, are expected to present the movie bringing the 57th edition to a close, Mother and Child.
