Basque writers Karmele Jaio, Harkaitz Cano and Miren Agur Meabe will be present at the Frankfurt Book Fair --the largest in the world-- tomorrow Thursday 15 in a discussion forum entitled Basque Literature or Creativity as a Key to Knowledge. The panel has been organised by the Basque Language Publishers'' Association.

In the afternoon, Basque writers Jaio and Cano, who mainly write in Euskera, or Basque language, will be paying a visit to present their respective novels, Amaren Eskuak (Mother''s hands), and Pasaia Blues, at the Goethe Institute in Frankfurt.

The German fair is a meeting point for publishers, booksellers, agents, film producers or authors. Each year in October, they all come together on the first three days of the celebration. During the weekend - on 17 and 18 October, the encounter is welcoming the general public too.

2009 will again bring a programme of varied events, interesting artists and exciting activities, with China as a guest country. For instance, the new Film &' || 'amp; Media Forum will serve as a meeting point for all creative industries. As a platform for the exchange of ideas, Focus on Creative Content offers more than 30 panels, workshops, presentations, tours, get-togethers and events for the public on the book, film, TV, games, photography and music industries.
