Basque soprano Amaya Arberas makes her debut in New York

The Basque soprano will make her debut on Saturday night, February 13th at the prestigious Carnegie Hall of New York as a reward after her hard work.

To perfect her vocal technique she went to New York for the first time 10 years ago and since then on, she has been living there and in Europe. She is in new York three months a year to receive voal lessons and offer recitals.

After several years of study she decided to perfect her vocal technique with her present teacher in Spain José Ramón Arteta, while at the same time attending various courses in Ancient Music organized by the University of Salamanca that were given by professors Richard Levitt and David Mason.

In 2005 she came to New York to take vocal lessons from the distinguished teacher Dodi Protero and repertoire from Ms. Joan Dorneman, the eminent coach at The Metropolitan Opera House.

New York is a hard city for artists that as Amaia Arberas are looking for the road to fame. However, Amaia will perform at the famous Carnegie Hall of New York as a reward after her hard work.
