Today, she is one of the most famous ambassadors of Spanish Music, as attests her broad record catalogue of zarzuelas (sung with Placido Domingo and Alfredo Kraus), operas as well as several volumes of Spanish songs. Among many other prizes, Maria Bayo has been recently granted the Principe de Viana Award, one the most prestigious Prizes of Culture, in Spain, delivered by His Royal Highness, the Prince Felipe de Borbon.
