Norwegian director Petter Moland will chair the New Directors Jury

Norwegian director Hans Petter Moland will chair the New Directors Jury alongside the other jury members, directors Elisabet Cabeza and Albertina Carri, the author Marc Levy and the musician Fermin Muguruza.

The Horizontes Jury, with members Marlene Dermer and Pilar Martínez-Vasseur, will be chaired by Sebastián Cordero.

The Serbian director Denis Tanovic will chair the jury of the 9th International Film Students meeting, consisting of students from the participating schools.

The Official Jury members will be announced in the next days. All other aspects of the programme have already been announced in recent weeks.

This year’s Festival will include a total of 193 films. The competitive sections are: the Official Selection, with 18 films, three of which will be screened out-of-competition; Zabaltegi-New Directors with 16 films, Zabaltegi-Pearls, 12, and Horizontes Latinos, 11. Furthermore, Made in Spain will offer 19 titles and Zinemira-Basque Film Showcase, 8. These films include 28 world premieres, 5 international premieres, 13 European premieres and 26 Spanish premieres.

The Selection Committee viewed a total of 1,982 films, compared to the 1,819 of 2009, before choosing the titles to be presented in the different sections.

On Saturday, September 11, all information related to the programme and screening times will be available on the Festival website and in the Film-by-Film Guide.

Tickets for all screenings will go on sale on Sunday, 12 September at 9 a.m. These tickets can be purchased over the Internet, at the Zinemaldi Plaza ticket office, from ATMs and the different cinema box-offices. Detailed information on ticket sales can now be found on the official Festival website.
