He is one of the actors of the moment and, like any human being, has had to face some of life's more painful moments. On this occasion, Australian actor Hugh Jackman opened up to the journal 'Australian Herald Sun' in a sincere interview.

Aged 42, Hugh Jackman is happily married to Deborra Lee Furness, with whom he has two adopted children, Óscar, 11, and Ava, 6 years old.

"It was very painful, it's not easy. You think about it a lot and it affects everything," he said referring to one of the worst moments in his life, when he discovered that he could not have children biologically.

"The thought of having children one day is a wonderful one, but when you recognise that this will never occur a certain fear starts growing," added the actor. Before finding out that he was unable to have children, says Jackman:  "We thought we would have one or two biological children and then we would adopt."

"Once we had decided that there was already enough in-vitro fertilisation in the world, we decided to go for adoption. From then on, the fear started to disappear," said Jackman.

Now, Hugh Jackman describes himself as a happy and proud father: "I don't think about them as adopted, they are our children."
