Janis Blums scored a three-pointer with just two seconds left to edge Meridiano Alicante 74-76 and lead Bizkaia Bilbao Basket to a win on Sunday afternoon.

Javier Salgado was the top scorer for the Basques with 22 points and 5 assists. Mumbru added 17 points and Hervelle had 13.

For Meridiano Alicante, Katelynas scored 14 points and Sow added 11.

Meridiano Alicante bossed the first quarter, maily scoring from behind the three-point line. Txemi Urtasun fired in a three-pointer in the beginning of the second quarter to open a 9-point lead for the hosts, 29-20. However, the Basques reacted well and added a 0-13 run to take the lead on the scoreboard, 29-33. At halftime, Bizkaia Bilbao Basket were still on top, 37-39.

Meridiano Alicante stepped up a gear and added a 11-0 run in the third quarter but Bizkaia Bilbao Basket stayed in touch, 69-64 with 3 minutes left.

With less that one minute left and trailing by just one point, Salgado stole the ball and Blums fired in the winning three-pointer.
