American Chris Horner won the Tour of the Basque Country on Saturday after triumphing in the sixth and final stage.

Second overall behind the Radio Shack rider was Spain''s Alejandro Valverde with Basque rider Benat Intxausti in third.

Saturday''s final stage, an individual time trial starting and finishing in Orio, was won by Horner ahead of Valverde. Belgium''s Maxime Monfort was third.
