The Basque climber Edurne Pasaban reached the summit of Annapurna in the Himalayas. This is her 13th 8,000 peak, which was 8,091-meters high.

Annapurna is a series of peaks in the Himalayas, a 55 km (34 mi)-long massif of which the highest point, Annapurna I, stands at 8091m, making it the 10th-highest summit in the world and one of the 14 eight-thousanders.

Pasaban''s team left to Nepan and Tibet on 4 March 2010 to climb the Annapurna and the Shisha Pangma.

The mountaineer from Tolosa, Gipuzkoa, reaches her thirteenth 8,000-meter peak taking a step forward to become the first woman to conquer the fourteen 8,000 that exist on earth. She only has Shisha Pangma (8,027 metres, Tibet-China) left to succeed.
