Adam Chub scored 27 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead Alba Berlin to a 77-70 win over Bizkaia Bilbao Basket on Saturday evening and spoil the Basqueshopes of advancing into the final of the Eurocup.

McElory added 13 points and Byars, Jenkins and Wright had 10 points each.

For Bizkaia Bilbao Basket, Warren was the top scorer with 14 points. Moiso added 10 and Muumbru and Hervelle had 10 points each.

Both teams worked well in defence in the first quarter and tied at 18 points at the end of the first 10 minutes.

Alba Berlin seized a small gap in the second quarter, 31-22, that the Basques trimmed before halftime, 35-31, but never erased completely.

The Germans controlled the game in the third and last quarters with the Basques always in touch but never able to erase that five-point gap.
