Abrha Milaw from Ethiopia wins Behobia-San Sebastian race

The winner of the Men's Absolute was Abrha Milaw from Ethiopia with a time of 1h:02:57 and the Women's Absolute was won by Tirha Gebre in a time of 1h:08:37.

The 47th edition of the Behobia-San Sebastian race took place on Sunday 13. It attracts thousands of participants from around the world every year. It is considered one of the most important fun runs in Euskadi.

The event covers a 20 kilometer route with 23,400 participants. The runners set off from the Behobia neighborhood in Irun and they end the course in Boulevard Donostiarra. The most difficult sections are the steep uphill sections at the peaks of Gaintxurizketa and Miracruz.

The winner of the Men's Absolute was Abrha Milaw from Ethiopia with a time of 1h:02:57, Akebom Hadush came second with a time of 1h:03:11. Third place was taken by Alejandro Martinez with a time of 1h:03:33. Basques Jon Arozena and Asier Cuevas arrived in fifth and sixth position.

The Women's Absolute was won by Tirha Gebre in a time of 1h:08:37, with Hiwot Kashu second in a time of 1h.13:23, with third place being taken by Claudia Behobide from Gipuzkoa, with a time of 1h:14:22.
