ETB-2 provides a complete variety of programmes in Spanish for Basque society as a whole.
News is one of the great mainstays of this channel, with more than four hours evry day devoted to topical subjects. As well as daily news programmes, ETB-2 provides special news programmes and about ten programmes every week specializing in various fields. These are established programmes with a clear public service vocation, with more than 1,000 minutes a week of programmes in which news is covered from a very wide range of viewpoints.
The documentaries and entertainment on ETB-2 are also really worth mentioning. Films, shows, galas, documentaries and television series have an important place in the programming schedule.
