The Basque Government, Confebask, CC.OO., and UGT, carried out the Social Dialogue Board in order to reach agreements "as soon as posible" to fight the "serious crisis ". Furthermore, those present at the meeting, which took place in Vitoria-Gasteiz, said that "there's an open door" for unions ELA and LAB, who previously said they would not participate at the Board.

After the meeting, Lehendakari Patxi López appeared at the Lehendakaritza, or Basque Government, accompanied by the president of Confebask Miguel Lazpiur, and the secretaries-general of CC.OO. Unai Sordo, and UGT-Euskadi, Dámaso Casado.

Basque PM told press that the process of social dialogue will take place at two levels: through a general forum (consisting of senior managers) and through three other Boards (Labour and Social Policy, Health and Labour and Employment, and Active Human Capital).

On the absence of ELA and LAB at the meeting, López said that social dialogue is a "very serious" matter, so in case these unions want to participate, they will have to support the Board during the whole process, not just in some forums.
