Biarritz celebrates its dance festival "Le temps d'aimer la danse" over a 10-day period.

For its 19th edition, Le Temps d’Aimer 2009 plays host to groups that are little-known or rare in France, such as the Swedish Royal Ballet, the Corella Ballet Castilla y Leon with Angel Corella, the star of the American Ballet Theater, the Wiesbaden Ballet, the Danish Dance Theater, the German Ballet Wiesbaden.. This year this festival inludes two Basque companies: Ertza and Kukai Tanttaka.

Hip-hop, flamenco, classical and contemporary dances share a place in this festival. However, neoclassical dance will occupy an outstanding place, such as La Pamperruque, the official dance of Bayonne, wich will be performed on September 20th.

The Biarritz Dance Festival, le Temps d’Aimer La Danse will be held between the 11-20 September. It is among the best European festivals devoted solely to dance, in all its guises. It will open with Le guetteur Luc Petton & Cie's "The confidence of birds"
