Basque band from Zarautz Delorean was awarded the so-called Ojo Crítico Prize (Critical Eye) in Madrid on Tuesday, November 3, at the 20th edition of an event organised by RNE3, or the prestigious music radio station of the Spanish public communications group RTVE.

As representatives of RNE3 stated, the group deserves the prize given that it has achieved a personal sound which is the result of empathy between music and pop. For the jury, Delorean "know how to experiment with remixes of the newest bands of the international scene (such as The XX, The Teenagers, The Mystery Jets, Big Pink), in which they have achieved a clear recognition."

Delorean have been appraised by international media because of their last EP Ayrton Senna, which has been reviewed by Pitchfork, NME, XLR8R, The Guardian, The Fader, and ABC News.

The Basques have just played in four different venues of New York and will do the same in London, Paris, Stockholm and Addis Ababa before the year ends.
