Three armed suspected members of ETA in the southwestern town of Pau on Saturday in a joint operation between Spanish and French police.
A French police officer said two men and a woman were caught in Idron, a Pau suburb, and would probably be transferred to Paris where they would appear in court.
French police were unable to name the suspects, but Spanish media identified the men as Asier Borrero and Iurgi Garitagoitia, and the woman as Itziar Plaza.
It was the fourth such swoop on ETA members in the two weeks since the group was blamed for the killing of a Spanish police inspector in a car bombing.
According to Spanish police, Asier Borrero is alleged to have wounded a French gendarme in a shoot-out in Montpellier on June 8, and of participating in the attack against Spanish police headquarters in Calahorra.
Borrero's girlfriend, Inge Urrutia, was arrested recently accused of participating to helping to plan the attempted escape from the prison in Huelva.
Itziar Plaza, 29, is on the list of wanted ETA members on the Spanish National Police Web site, and media say she is suspected of being part of the terrorist cell 'Urederra' and being under the control of Garikoitz Aspiazu 'Txeroki'.
To finish with, Iurgi Garitagoitia is accused of participating in the attack against Inaxio Uria and Isaias Carrasco.
