Basque Country braces for big storm, heavy rain, and wind

Aside from intense rain and strong winds, from Wednesday onwards Basque weather agency Euskalmet has issued an orange alert for bathers, surfers and mariners, with waves reaching up to 7 metres.

The Basque Country is facing the first serious storm of the season, so the Interior Department advises population to get information through the media and adopt self-protection measures. Likewise, they advise to move away from the coast and avoid windy spots.

There will be a noticeable fall in temperatures, which will range between 10 and 15 ºC.
